Hi, I’m Kaylee!
I’ve been a photographer here, there, and everywhere for 15 years. It’s carried me and my family through the earliest and most fiercely budgeted years of our marriage and a global pandemic. It’s given me the inconspicuous front-row seat to the magic - young love becoming husband and wife, becoming parents, ushering a new generation in as they build little families of their own… your stories are so uniquely yours.
I sit in wonder and awe at the moments, at the you I get to capture. Your hands, your eyes, your heart - what they hold and what they see and what they adore… I scoop it up to capture and bundle it all together for you. I move ever so quickly and gently, coaxing smiles and glances and moments out of everyone, clicking away until the last moment.
I’ve always been a cataloger, a collector, and a curator. Everything has a sentimentality and meaning to it, we’re often in such a rush that we miss it entirely. As a fellow photographer said, “I crave the meaning-within-the-meaning.” and I do too. My sessions aren’t just a checklist item to make happen, they’re a way to elevate your perception of your people. The dear babies (maybe now grown!) and spouse that make up your family are full of quirks and faces that someday won’t be the same as before. Capture it, put it on paper, make it permanent. We all hate regret - let’s not let losing the moment be one of those things.
About my time with nature:
I have lived on Florida’s Space Coast since I was a child. Nature and creating has always been a passion of mine and I’ve been spending the last 6-7 years curating a collection of my own local photography along our coast. Many people become callused and bored of their hometowns, but throughout my journey with photography and my own mental health, I’ve found that there is so much beauty to be captured and discovered right here: in our own backyard.
On any given weekday, you’ll find me out with my birds, hunting down gators, and seeking out local otters and dolphins. I love to spend at least 2-3 hours every week seeking out nature, whether familiar or unfamiliar to me. Last year, I joined the Brevard Zoo so that I could see and capture even more local and exotic wildlife. It’s been a huge outlet for me to go walk, enjoy the fresh air, and say “Hi!” to the volunteers and animals out there.
I spend the rest of my days photographing family sessions, local events, weddings, and maintaining the business from home. My husband and I are also about to be parents to a precious boy, and although he’ll be very young, I cannot wait to show him all of our favorite local spots and creatures, from the Zoo to the Wildlife Refuges that have become my home-away-from-home.
So, welcome! Enjoy! - These prints are my joy to share and I hope that they will get to become a beautiful part of your home and life as they have been a part of mine.

what the clients are saying…
“My son and I did a mini session with Kaylee, and to say I was nervous was an understatement. My boy is a year and a half of non stop energy. Prior to this session I had never been able to get professional photos done.
Kaylee is an angel. She understood that he wasn’t going to be still, and went with it! She suggested some different activities for us to do, never getting frustrated that we had to keep changing things up...
THEY ARE PERFECT! She captured Luke’s personality, and I don’t look like the hot mess I felt like. She was an absolute joy to work with and I am so thankful for the opportunity... I am in love with our photos.”
“We loved getting our maternity photos done with Kaylee! She was professional and fun. We had a great time and our photos were such a beautiful reflection of who we are and our love for each other.”
“The Hornes did our Family mini-session and they were able to take such great memories of our two little ones in such a pressure free environment. If you want good pictures and you want it to be an enjoyable experience book with The Hornes.”
“I highly recommend The Hornes... In my family I’m always the one behind the camera but when I have had shoots with the Hornes I knew I could put down my camera and let them do their thing AND actually be in the pictures. They are so amazingly talented and I trust them to get all of those candid moments that I will cherish for forever.”
“Kaylee was awesome with my one-year-old son! She picked a beautiful location, had great ideas, and takes amazing photos.”
“The Hornes have done generation [family] photos for us. The pictures are absolutely spectacular! They’ve photographed our grandchildren several times. They capture the true essence of family without any stuffiness or canned photo-feeling. The Horne’s are absolutely delightful to work with and we definitely will call them to capture future memories. I could not give them a higher recommendation.”
“Kaylee has photographed my family multiple times. She is so sweet, joyful and kind. She knows how to get my kids smiling even when they are reluctant! I love the candid shots Kaylee always manages to get...it’s almost magical. I have 4 kids so it’s no small task! She is always on time (actually early), quick to reply and gets the edited pictures back very quickly. And she even took pictures in the rain without a single complaint!”
“Kaylee has documented almost all of my little family’s milestones. Always love her work, have never felt even an ounce of disappointment! She passionately and thoughtfully captures moments. Undoubtedly deserves 5 stars!”
